RENAISSANCE
Renaissance is a style of palaces that is hard to imagine in a city apartment or a country house. Among designers, he is even less popular than Baroque or Gothic. Only some of its decorative techniques are used in the design of modern rooms.
The aesthetics of the Renaissance requires harmony, symmetry and rational construction of the form from the interior. The composition is repelled, as a rule, from some central element. For walls, marble and natural stones are used, at worst, their imitation. Ceramics, a massive board or parquet are laid on the floor, and a carpet is on top to “soften” the interior. The windows are decorated with curtains and a lambrequin made of thick textile, and the walls with frescoes and paintings. The color scheme mainly consists of yellow, brown, blue and purple shades. But this does not mean that the interior is built on contrasts - tones smoothly pass into each other.
There is not much furniture in such a room; it has a simple geometric shape. The stinginess of the situation is offset by a large number of decorative elements. In this section you will find catalogs of furniture and accessories from China in the Renaissance style.
