Bench Minotti Superquadra

The Superquadra furniture line, designed by Brazilian architect Marcio Kogan (studio mk27), takes its name from the experimental urban planning project of Lucio Costa and Oscar Niemeyer, conceived in 1956 for the residential area of Brasília and presented as a series of basic prefabricated houses.

The square volumes of famous buildings, suspended on maneuverable supports, are reflected in the sideboards, benches, coffee tables, consoles and tables of the Superquadra family.
The architectural imprint characteristic of the airy volumes of Superquadra cabinets is embodied in the graphic minimalism of the Superquadra series of coffee tables, benches and console tables.

Elements rest on a base with raised legs made of aluminum with a polished Brandy lacquer, giving the products an ultra-lightweight appearance.
The understated design is enlivened by the combination of high-quality materials - marble, wood, fabric and leather - used to create shelves and seats in a modern, textured style. With the Superquadra, Marcio Kogan/mk27 reaffirms the originality of the style, rooted in the 1950s, and demonstrates a combination of characteristics balanced between past and present.

The benches, characterized by different cushioning densities, are available in two heights (cm 34 and 42 cm) and in four versions: upholstered in fabric or leather (cm 126x128), with a seat paired with a tabletop in dark brown Santos rosewood (cm 126x128), with a seat installed next to a tabletop in Calacatta marble or Sahara Noir (cm 182x58), or with two tabletops - solid wood and Calacatta marble or wood and marble Sahara Noir (cm 182x102).

Furniture accessories are distinguished by bold textures, which is clearly visible in options with expressive countertops made of a combination of marble and solid wood.
