The client’s brief

A premium restaurant in Pavlodar on a par with the boutique venues of Dubai and Milan

VIP area of the DaVinci restaurant with a round marble table

In 2024 a serial entrepreneur from Kazakhstan came back to MBL. The first joint project — furnishing an apartment in Miami — went through without losses and at the required level of quality, so when the task arose of opening a premium restaurant in Pavlodar, the choice of interior supplier was not up for discussion.

The brief was short: an interior on a par with the boutique venues of Dubai and Milan, but in the reality of Pavlodar — that is, not off the catalogue, but tailored to the character of the place, its textures and the impression it makes from the first touch to the table setting.

A particular feature of this project: the client wanted to walk the whole selection route in person. Together with his partner he flew to Foshan and spent several days at the factories — comparing materials and textures, approving items. That made it possible to put together a space made for him, rather than one taken from a ready-made showroom set.

What the furnishing package included

Complete supply across 6 areas — furniture, lighting, finishing materials, decor, tableware and sanitaryware

Area
The supply package and materials
Facade and entrance area wall panels, decorative elements
Wall panels on the facade, paintings and decorative elements in the entrance area. A large floral composition of dried plants (pampas grass, feathers, leaves) and a large rectangular mirror in a black metal frame — the first contact with the guest immediately sets the level of the venue.
Main hall furniture · lighting · decor · wall panels · tableware
Wooden shelving partitions dividing the hall into distinct groups. High-backed armchairs in a wine shade. Wooden tables on black metal legs. Light fittings using brass, eco-leather and Spanish alabaster — the lighting becomes part of the architecture. On the shelves: hardback books, paintings, figurines, vases with decorative flowers, decorative boxes, candlesticks with candles, a clock. The table setting — ceramic tableware and stainless steel cutlery.
VIP-area №1 a round table for 12 · marble + epoxy resin
A round table for 12 with a solid base in solid wood and a worktop in natural marble with epoxy resin. Chairs in solid wood and high-density polypropylene with faux leather upholstery. A decorative textured wall and table setting — ceramics plus stainless steel cutlery. An intimate atmosphere for business lunches and private meetings.
VIP-area №2 a long table for 18+ people · travertine · hand-forged metal
A long banquet table for 18+ people in natural travertine — the table becomes the main accent of the space. A chandelier made of cotton and linen with fringing; the metal part is hand-forged with a lacquer coating. On the wall — flexible stone. The chairs continue the material logic of the first VIP area: solid wood + polypropylene + faux leather.
Washroom No. 1 porcelain stoneware · brass mixer tap
Full finishing marble-effect porcelain stoneware, a white round bowl-shaped basin, a built-in brass mixer tap, a round backlit mirror. The standard of the main hall continues here too.
Bathrooms No. 2 and No. 3 artificial stone · stainless steel · brass
Engineered stone worktops, stainless steel and built-in brass taps. A single finishing logic across all the washrooms supports the overall aesthetic of the restaurant.

What we say

A video tour of the project from the MBL team. Words by Kirill Levin, the founder of the company

‘This is not the first project with this client. Before it we furnished his apartment in Miami. He was pleased with our work and came back with a new task — to create a restaurant in Pavlodar. This is not simply about a handsome delivery, but about trust that the client confirmed with a repeat project.’
