Parallel selection

Not one after another, but in parallel across 4 categories. Furniture, lighting, bathroom fittings, finishes — the manager runs every strand.

Video inspection of factories

At every factory (and there were about 12 in this project) — a separate video inspection. The client in Gelendzhik, the factories in China.

A single shipment

When all the items are ready, we consolidate them into a single container. Reinforced packing for fragile items (chandeliers, ceramics). Delivery to the site.

What was hardest about selecting online

‘Not being able to feel the material. Especially the finishing materials — porcelain stoneware and tiles. You want to touch the surface and see the structure.’

This is the most common pain point of the online format. We solve it through detailed video tours — the manager does not simply point the camera but gives a ‘tactile’ inspection: scratching the surface with a fingernail, standing a glass of water on it, checking the weight.

We can also send samples by post — the client receives a piece of porcelain stoneware or fabric and makes the final decision with it in hand. It takes 2-3 weeks, but it removes 90% of the doubts.

The main outcome

6 months of work. 4 supply categories. 1 container. 0 trips to China. This is not the fastest format, but it is the most complete — we furnished the whole house, not just the furniture.
