An interior in the style of Boca do Lobo for $900 000: instead of European price tags — Chinese OEM
The client had seen Boca do Lobo furniture at a European exhibition and wanted to recreate that aesthetic at home. The prices of the originals did not suit her. After an unsuccessful search in Turkey she came to us — and in 8 months received a full hyper-luxury interior: crystal sculptures, marble, brass, animal-print textiles.

How the client came to us
The story of how a dream of an interior seen at a European show was realised through Chinese OEM factories
The client saw Boca do Lobo furniture at a show in Europe and wanted to recreate that style at home. She first looked for equivalents in Turkey — the quality did not meet her expectations. She came across MBL videos on YouTube by chance and decided to give it a try.
The first call took place in September 2022. The client already had a fully finished design project, worked on by a designer and an architect. The initial hope was ‘to select everything online in two weeks and have the furniture in Moscow by New Year’.
There were no rigid budget constraints. The main task was to obtain an exclusive interior with a wow effect and quality that would keep its looks for years. Where leather could be replaced with premium-density textile or eco-leather, it was replaced, and it worked 100% of the time. Where it mattered, natural materials were kept.
Materials and textures
Particular attention to the combination of materials, to tones for south- and north-facing rooms, and to anti-vandal treatment of the textiles
The tones and shades were chosen separately for the southern (sunny) and northern sides of the house. The textiles were treated with an anti-vandal coating — protection from damage and a longer life.

Selection and approval
The client’s designer and architect sent over the project. Where models were hard to find, they were developed to order from sketches. Every material and texture went for separate approval.
Lead time 60–90 days
We worked directly with the factories. Our manager travelled to the production site every week — she checked drawings, materials and assembly stages. Regular video reports to the client.
Quality control
Before shipping, every piece was checked by the MBL quality control team: visual inspection, dimensions, materials, hidden damage. Fragile items — reinforced packing.
Rail delivery to the door
We shipped by rail — fewer shocks and vibrations than by sea. Delivery straight to the door. Most of the items arrived already assembled.
Winter delivery and epoxy coating: the story of the thermal film
The order was placed in the winter, and there were difficulties with the epoxy coating layer — in a frosty winter climate it is hard to allow for the temperature difference when shipping from southern China.
Solution: additional thermal film and careful, slow unpacking on site, so that the epoxy layer would not crack because of the change in temperature. This was thought through in advance — the packing and the installation saved the situation, and everything arrived intact.
This is an example of how we treat the details: not simply shipped and forgotten, but thinking about the climate, the season and what will happen to the item in Moscow in January.
An exclusive interior of Boca do Lobo standard, which would have cost many times more in European showrooms. The client got the wow effect, ordered a second property with us and recommended us to a friend — who is now working with MBL as well.
