When conceiving the Augusto sofa, Van Duysen proceeded from the idea of complete comfort. He analyzed exactly how the body would sink into the voluminous seat, recline on the soft backrest, or simply rest on the elegant square-shaped armrests. Only after these factors were determined did he begin to shape the shape, which includes a metal base that runs along the perimeter of the sofa, emphasizing its volume and creating an almost weightless impression.
