Capri Base is a new edition of the iconic Capri chair designed by Gordon Guillaumier.
The result of a design exploration based on subtraction, the Capri Base appears as a sculptural form, hollowed out inside to create a soft, curved shell that is made even more comfortable by the goose down seat cushion. The only concession to geometric rigor is the square, pewter-colored metal base on which the soft volume rests.
Side zippers on the front of the chair serve both an aesthetic and decorative function, as well as a practical one, as they allow the cover to be removed, a detail that makes this piece of furniture a timeless icon.
The Capri Base armchair can be complemented with ottomans from the same family, available in two different sizes.
