Chair D.235.1 from the Italian factory Molteni&C is a true masterpiece of furniture design with an interesting history. Italian designer Gio Ponti in 1938 developed the design project for the Montecatini building in Piazza Largo Donegani in Milan. In addition to architectural solutions, Ponti also created tables, chairs, lamps and cabinets, among which was the model D.235.1.
The chair is entirely made of polished aluminum, which makes the structure light and further emphasizes its modern, and even slightly futuristic appearance. In 2014, Molteni created an updated version of the D.235.2 chair. - with seat and back made of genuine leather (various color options available). The legs are supplemented with plastic inserts to reduce slipping and scratching of the floor surface. Seat height - 44.6 cm.
