Corner table ALCAROL Fungi

The ALCAROL Fungi corner table is a unique piece of art that combines functionality and aesthetics. This table is a creation inspired by nature and made using natural materials.

Fungi is a piece of wood obtained from a dead apple tree with native fungal populations inside and outside the log. The final stages of a tree's life cycle attract specialized fungal organisms that attack the wood, destroying the tough lignin layer that protects it. Wood-rotting mushrooms are always unique. No two works are the same because there is a precise time, place and environmental conditions for their creation. The live edges of natural wood were frozen in a special block of ultra-clear resin, reminiscent of winter ice, which blocked fungal activity. The transitory beauty of Nature becomes eternal.
