The Aster table, designed by Vincent Van Duysen, is the ultimate expression of compositional rationality and craftsmanship. A unique piece made entirely by hand, it is a contemporary work of art that combines aesthetics and functionality. Each table has a slightly different shade, indicating its handicraft.
Its base is a brass casting made using an earthen mold, which gives it a refined ground effect. The ring is attached to the legs by welding. Vibro-grinding completes the aesthetics. With the help of stones, the structure is gently smoothed, giving it a wavy effect.
The upper part is made of 1.9 cm thick annealed glass, characterized by slight ripples at the lower part, giving it a personal touch. It also uses careful manufacturing technology: the sheet is placed in a mold with a rusticated bottom and fused at a temperature of 180 degrees, giving the glass a distinctive finish.
The Aster comes in two sizes: 50cm high with a 40cm diameter top or 40cm by 50cm. Finish options are polished brass or black patinated brass, and the tabletop can be custom made in smoked or green glass. The Aster coffee table is a sculptural piece that can be used in collections and spaces.
