Minotti Angie Armchair

The saddle leather or leather element forms a wing that encloses the chair, supporting the frame like a sculptural bustier, characterized internally by the attractive softness of the seat and backrest. Behind the apparent simplicity of the design lies an advanced manufacturing process used to create both the different textured foam padding and the saddle leather or leather bustiers, made using two different Baydur® shapes that perfectly follow the curved line of the chair.

Studio GamFratesi, when signing the design, worked on the idea of contrast, emphasizing it and juxtaposing the hard frame of the saddle hide or leather element with the softness of the upholstery part, which can also be seen on the back, thus setting the scene for interesting color combinations of saddle hide and fabric.

The legs are crafted from pewter-colored die-cast aluminum, and a unique arched frame connects the legs at the back, emphasizing the curve of the saddle hide or leather body. 

The product family includes a chair with footrest and a lounge chair, both with the same characteristics and in different sizes, now joined by the Angie Cover version, fully upholstered in fabric or leather.

The presence of saddle leather is not only a hallmark of the involvement of the GamFratesi studio in the Minotti creative team, but also breathes new dynamics into a product with classic shapes, offering a palette of different shades.
